Nîmes (Nimes på provencalska) är en stad i södra Frankrike, huvudort (franska: préfecture) i departementet Gard.
Nîmes var en viktig ort redan innan kelterna i området accepterat Romerska riket|romerskt herravälde 121 f.Kr.. När kejsar Augustus grundade Colonia Augusta Nemausus 27 f.Kr utvecklades staden till den viktigaste i Gallien.
