Blackpool: Guide
Blackpool är en kuststad i Lancashire, Storbritannien, med omkring 140 000 invånare. Staden har spårvagnstrafik, vilken den länge var ensam om i Storbritannien.
Staden har en lång historia som semesterort/badort. Sedan 1960-talet har turismen, och därmed även till viss del staden, haft en nedåtgående trend då fler och fler valt att åka till medelhavet istället för att lita på det något mer osäkra brittiska vädret. Numera (2005) finns det planer på att göra staden till en brittisk motsvarighet till Las Vegas och Atlantic City, förutsatt att de av regeringen planerade lagändringarna inom spelområdet genomförs.
